Contracts Manager

For our London office we are looking for a:
Contracts Manager

As a contracts manager at Bauporte Design Entrances you will have a versatile job with great impact. After the moment the sales has been completed you will be the right hand of the project manager (Dutch based). You open and maintain the project files and prepare (and place) orders with the factory and external suppliers. You will act as the main point of contact between the customer and the factory. Before the engineers can start on the site, you ensure that the site is ready for the installation. If necessary, you organise any plant requirements such as scaffolding and lifting equipment. During the construction you carry out site surveys, provide clear instructions to the site engineers and assist in any technical issues if needed. You will also ensure that the engineers are following health and safety requirements including those for Covid. When the construction is finished you check the final installation and hand it over to the customer.

Furthermore, as a contracts manager you will be expected to:

  • Keep detailed minutes during architect/customer meetings in order to have a clear view of the agreements and requirements
  • Review and advise on any changes to drawings
  • Prepare and submit RAMS
  • Advise customers and engineers on best practice for EN16005
  • Manage the stores
  • Technically assist engineers on maintenance and call outs
  • Be available for occasional oversees requirements (+/- 5 times a year)

As a successful contracts manager at Bauporte Design Entrances you are experienced in automatic door electronics and automation and in working within a construction related environment. Particularly within the commercial entrances sector. Additional with extensive knowledge of automatic doors (especially revolving doors). You can cope easily when under pressure to meet tight deadlines and all times you maintain a smart appearance to represent the company in the best light.
